Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon brush for an electric machine which secures further stable rectification, high efficiency to a motor, a long lifetime, the lowering of a temperature, the reduction of a sliding sound and reduces commutator wear.
SOLUTION: The carbon brush 1 for the electric machine is pressed against a conductive rotor 2. A material containing an aggregate which contains carbon as at least one component and a binder is used as a brush base material. A water soluble lubricant of 0.2-10 wt%, fluorine denatured silicone oil of 0.2-3 wt% or the water soluble lubricant of 0.2-10 wt% and a metal compound are contained in this brush base material.
