Abstract:
To provide a carbon dioxide capturing agent that is inexpensive and yet has high capture efficiency of carbon dioxide.SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide capturing agent comprises a calcium hydroxide particle having a calcium carbonate layer formed on the surface. Also, by using the carbon dioxide capturing agent, carbon dioxide in an atmosphere at 300 to 650°C is captured. In that time, it is preferable to capture carbon dioxide from an atmosphere having a carbon dioxide partial pressure lower than the carbon dioxide partial pressure curve in which calcium oxide and calcium carbonate are at equilibrium state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
