Title:
CARBON FILAMENT-REINFORCED POLYPROPYLENE COMPOSITE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010235774
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a prepreg material in which the reinforcing effect is enhanced by improving the adhesion between carbon filaments being a reinforcing material and a resin phase and which is provided for structural materials.

A carbon filament-reinforced polypropylene composite comprises 100 pts.mass of carbon filaments (A) having a weight-average fiber length of ≥7.5 mm and 30-250 pts.mass of a syndiotactic polypropylene (B) which is characterized in that the melting point is 120-135°C, the ratio of the X-ray diffraction intensity at a diffraction angle (2θ) of 12° to the X-ray diffraction intensity at a diffraction angle (2θ) of 14° is 1.5-10, and the melt flow rate is 50-150 g/10 min.
