Abstract:
To provide a carbon material which has a structure identical or similar to graphene in terms of crystal structure and is not graphite; has a structure similar to reduction type graphene oxide in that it is an oxygen-containing carbon material having a weak bond in the layer direction; and is different from reduction type graphene oxide in that it does not sufficiently contain elements other than carbon and oxygen, it is different from graphite in terms of crystal structure, and which can avoid mixing of impurity metals that occurs when it is produced on an aluminum substrate or the like and can avoid mixing of impurity metals derived from a catalyst, which occurs when manufactured by utilizing a catalytic reaction on a nickel substrate or the like, and to provide a method for producing such a carbon material, and further a carbon material composition comprising such a carbon material.SOLUTION: A carbon material according to the embodiment of the present invention is substantially composed only of a calcined product of a compound having three or more phenolic hydroxy groups in the molecule.SELECTED DRAWING: None
