To provide a carbon monoxide shift reactor and a carbon monoxide selective methanation device having high reaction selectivity for removing carbon monoxide from a hydrogen-containing gas.
In the carbon monoxide shift reactor or the carbon monoxide selective methanation device provided with a reactor and a carbon monoxide shift catalyst or a carbon monoxide selective methanation catalyst to be filled in the reactor, the carbon monoxide shift catalyst and the carbon monoxide selective methanation catalyst are provided with a base material of a composite oxide containing a hardly reducible metal oxide, an easily reducible metal oxide and an additive metallic element and active metal particles deposited at least on the surface of the base material, and the additive metallic element is at least one kind selected from a kind different from a metal of the hardly reducible metal oxide in a group consisting of Al, Sc, Cr, B, Fe, Ga, In, Lu, Nb and Si, and a content of the additive metallic element in the carbon monoxide selective methanation catalyst is 0.01 mol% or more and 0.25 mol% or less in terms of an element.
