Abstract:
To provide a carbonaceous mold for a battery electrode, which enables the achievement of a high capacity and a high energy density particularly as to a lithium ion secondary battery having such a structure that second electrodes are bound together and connected to a current collecting part, provided that each second electrode is formed by surrounding, by e.g. oxide containing lithium and transition metal and having a conductive substance buried therein, an outer periphery of a post-like first electrode made of lithium metal, carbonaceous material, or the like and having a conductive substance buried therein, over a separation film therebetween.SOLUTION: A carbonaceous mold for a battery electrode of the present invention comprises at least a twisted yarn arranged by twisting single yarns containing hardly graphitizable carbon fibers which can be doped and de-doped with lithium and in which the atomic ratio (H/C) of hydrogen and carbon atoms according to elemental analysis is 0.1 or less, the volatile component is 5.0 mass% or less, and a (002)-plane average layer surface spaceddetermined according to X-ray diffraction is 0.365 nm or more. The carbonaceous mold is 1×10Ωm or less in electric resistivity.SELECTED DRAWING: None
