PURPOSE: To efficiently transfer embossed image data to a host-side and to efficiently file data on the host-side in a card processor used in a paper money dispenser and an automatic cash transaction device.

CONSTITUTION: The processor is provided with a read/write mechanism 003 for a magnetic card which a feed mechanism 002 feeds, an image input part 004 which image-picks up an embossed image, a journal printer 005 printing the embossed image which is image-picked up and transaction information as journal information, a receipt printer part 006 printing a transaction content which is given to a customer and a control part 001 instructing control information from a host device. An image compression mechanism 010 is provided inside, and image information on a card embossment, which is inputted from the image input part 004, is compressed. Thus, data transfer quantity to the host-side is reduced, and a processing is made efficient.
