Abstract:
To provide a card reader allowing suppression of penetration of water into a card processing part disposed with a controlling board.
The card reader 1 includes: the card processing part 3 disposed with the controlling board 10, and reproducing information recorded in a card 2 and/or recording information into the card 2; and a card insertion part 5 formed with a card insertion port 4 inserted with the card 2. The card insertion part 5 is formed with: a card passage path through which the card 2 inserted from the card insertion port 4 passes toward the card processing part 3; and a drain hole 13d for drainage led to the card passage path.
