Abstract:
PURPOSE: To cut a card and simultaneously to deform the cut pieces by using the compact shredder having a structure suitable to the disposal of cards.
CONSTITUTION: Fixed shafts 11A and 11B are laid between frames 2A and 2B in parallel at a specified distance from each other, and the gears 13A and 13B capable of being meshed with each other are respectively mounted on the shafts 11A and 11B and made rotatable with respect to the shafts 11A and 11B. Meanwhile, rotary knives 15A, 15B, 16A and 16B are fixed to the gears 13A and 13B on both sides of the gears 13A and 13B by a pin 4 through a spacer 14 and made freely rotatable with respect to the shafts 11A and 11B, and the kinves 15 and 16 are coupled so that the knives 15A and 15B respectively cross the knives 16A and 16B to constitute cutters 17 and 18.
