A setting carrier tape to be used for temporarily fixing parts during the carriage contains a thermoplastic polymer, a cation polymerizable compound, and photo cation polymerization initiator, and an adhesive exposed surface of the setting carrier tape except a parts holding part is irradiated with light to change the surface into non-adhesive one. The thermoplastic polymer is not limited, but the polymer is preferably low in adhesivity at normal temperature, and, includes a polyester, for example. The cation polymerizable compound is not limited, but preferably, a polymer having the cation polymerizable functional group such as an epoxy group.
