Abstract:
To perform a two dimensional movement of a carrier a stop the carrier quickly and reliably at a predetermined position with simple structure.
This carrier moving device comprises a stator member T which is formed by disposing a plurality of stators 4 each comprised of a salient-pole column 2 and a coil 3 in a planar manner, and a carrier C on which a permanent magnets m2, m3 are disposed. The salient-pole column 2 is excited by making a current flow to the coil 3 adequately. By utilizing attraction force or repulsive force generated between the excited salient-pole column 2 and the permanent magnets m2, m3 of the carrier C, a two dimensional movement of the carrier C along the stator member T is performed.
