In this carrier system, a traveling passage 11 for the stacker crane 8 and a traveling passage 12 for the track carriage 10 are disposed in parallel, and the combination shelf 22 is provided between them, so that a height part to which transfer is possible both from the stacker crane 8 and the track carriage 10 is set as the common part. The stacker crane 8 is connected to the overhead traveling vehicle system 4, etc., through input/output stations 14, 15, etc. The track carriage 10 is connected to the processing device 30 through a carrying in/out gate 32.
