Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device having a double feed preventing part which can be relatively easily replaced, and to provide an image forming apparatus having the carrying device incorporated therein.SOLUTION: The carrying device includes a double feed preventing part for preventing double feed of sheets passing through a guide surface for guiding the sheets carried by a carrying part. The double feed preventing part includes a drag part which is supported by a holder to be housed in a recess and generates friction force against the carriage of the sheets to prevent the double feed of the sheets. The holder includes a supporting part for supporting the drag part, and a connection piece arranged between a sidewall and a supporting part and including a first connection part connected to the sidewall. The supporting part includes a first boss projecting toward the sidewall. The sidewall includes a rail part for guiding the first boss to a predetermined position when the holder is housed in the recess. The connection piece is elastically deformed toward the supporting part to disconnect the first connection part from the sidewall.
