The cart type tableware disinfecting and storing device disinfecting the housing truck 2 mounting the tableware in a heating chamber 3, is so constituted as to have a impermeable bottom plate 4 in its lower part, to have wheels 8 below the bottom plate 4 and to form a tableware housing section 7 consisting of plural shelves 6 in its upper part. A housing section 12 for housing the housing truck 2 is formed in the heating chamber 3. When the housing truck 2 is housed in the housing section 12, the nontransmissible bottom plate 4 segments the housing section 12 to two upper and lower sections, the upper housing section 12a and the lower housing section 12b. A heating air supply port 17 faces the upper space 6 of the bottom plate 4 and forcibly circulates heating air into the upper housing section 12a.
