To provide a cartridge loading mechanism configured such that instant films put in a cartridge can be pressed against the bottom face of the cartridge by moderate force and the opening angle of a load cover is made smaller.
The cartridge loading mechanism 6 provided to a printer comprises: the load cover 7; a cartridge holder 23 supported by a rotary shaft 22; a first pressing member 31 supported by a rotary shaft 30 set in the cartridge holder 23; and a second pressing member 41 supported by a rotary shaft 40 set in the cartridge holder 23. The load cover 7 is equipped with: a cam protrusion 50 which pushes up a protruding chip 35 of the first pressing member 31 in conjunction with the opening movement of the load cover 7; and a pin 51 which pushes up a side plate 42 of the second pressing member 41 in conjunction with the opening movement of the load cover 7.
