This cartridge type stick-like screw-out container is provided with a cartridge 10 incorporating a first spring 4 for backward energizing a core chuck 2 holding a stick-like cosmetic material M at the front, and a container body 20 having a mounting hole 22c for mounting the cartridge 10 and incorporating a push rod 31 for pushing forward the core chuck 2 against the energizing force of the first spring 4. The container is provided with a rack 31c disposed along the axial direction of the push rod 31, a pinion 32 meshing with the rack 31c, and a roller 33 fixed coaxially with the pinion 32 and rotatably provided in the container body 20, and characterized in that the roller 33 is rotated to thereby move the push rod 31 in the axial direction by meshing of the pinion 32 and the rack 31c.
