Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent theft by utilizing a dial in addition to a key in a coin public telephone set so as to enter a password registered individually so as to extract the cash box.
CONSTITUTION: When a maintenance personnel uses a key 5b to open a door 4 of a cash box extract port, it is sensed by a key sensor 6 and a buzzer 13 is energized via a control circuit 8. Then a password registered in a memory section 7a of a password registration collation circuit 7 is inputted through a dial 2. When the correct password is inputted from the dial 2, it is detected by a dial signal detection section 7b detects it and the circuit 8 stops ringing of the buzzer 13 to drive a solenoid drive circuit 9. The circuit 9 excites a solenoid magnet 10 to remove a lock piece 11 connecting to an armature 10a from a notch 12 of a cash box 3, thereby releasing the lock of the cash box 3, by which the cash box is extracted. Thus, theft due to a forged key is prevented.
