PURPOSE: To unitarily manage information relating to sales registration to be managed by a cash register and information relating to presence/absence management in the case of executing presence/absence management.

CONSTITUTION: The cash register is constituted of a card reader 2, a keyboard 3, a receipt/journal printer 4, an FDD unit 5, a display device 6, and a built-in clock 7, and when a worker having a card 9 expressing his (or her) own status depresses a key expressing the entrnce/exit of the card owner, information relating to the time, information expressing the worker's status and the key entry time are outputted to a specified medium. Consequently information relating to sales registration to be managed by a cash register and information relating to presence/absence management can be unitarily managed by a personal computer 15 or the like.
