Title:
CAST-IN JOINING METHOD OF HARD ALLOY AND CAST IRON, AND ITS HEAT TREATMENT METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2883055
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the bonding strength of the bonding interface without generating any crack in the bonding interface after inserting, and without cracks in the hard alloy by coating the cast iron of the same composition as that of the bonding material on the surface of the hard alloy.
SOLUTION: The hard alloy consists of, by weight, 60-90% tungsten carbide and the balance the bonding alloy. The bonding alloy includes high-chromium cast iron having the composition consisting of 12-32% chromium, 1-3.5% carbon, 1-2% silicon, and the balance iron. The cast iron for the coating includes the cast iron having the composition consisting of, 2-4% carbon, 1-2% silicon, and the balance iron. Because the inserting bonding interface of the coated hard alloy with the cast iron has the same composition, both materials are firmly bonded, and no defective bonded parts are generated. The coating layer becomes the cushioning material, and the hard alloy is not cracked by the thermal shock during the inserting.
