Title:
CAST STEEL FOR WELDING HAVING EXCELLENT TOUGHNESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3842720
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast steel for welding capable of stably achieving high toughness even if a cooling speed fluctuates and also capable of exhibiting good toughness while maintaining good productivity in a chemical component meeting the JIS standard.
SOLUTION: The steel is composed of a mixed structure containing pearlite and/or bainite other than ferrite, wherein a ferrite fraction is 40-85 area %, a pearlite fraction is ≤30 area % and a bainite fraction is ≤30 area %, and also fine coherent precipitates existing in the ferrite and having a diameter of ≤30 μm are averagely ≤50 per 1 μm2 on a surface area to be inspected.
