Abstract:
To suppress occurrence of distortion or the like of a product part of a cast while effectively reducing load on a mold and a drive mechanism during closing of the mold.SOLUTION: In a mold 20 in a casting apparatus 10, a discharge cangue 36, into which a molten metal M flown out from a gap between product cavity forming parts 14a and 14b of a lower mold 16 and an upper mold 18 can flow, is maintained in the state of being communicated with a product cavity 12 even during forming the product cavity, and is disposed extending so as to surround the outer circumference of the product cavity 12. The depth D1 of the discharge cangue 36 is larger than the depth D2 of the product cavity 12. A decoupling forming part 42, which extends in the depth direction and the width direction of the discharge cangue 36 from the outer circumferential edge part 36a of the discharge cangue 36, is disposed on the lower side discharge cangue forming part 30a of the mold 20. The decoupling forming part 42 forms, on a cangue temperature decreasing part 58, a decoupling part 64 where at least one end part side in the width direction of the discharge cangue temperature decreasing part 58 is decoupled in the extending direction of the discharge cangue temperature decreasing part 58.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
