PURPOSE: To prevent the stickiness of solidified part in excess molten metal to a cast product, to prevent the waste of the metal and to make the cutting work of the stuck material unnecessary.
CONSTITUTION: In a casting device, in which the molten metal in a cavity is solidified to form the cast products 30, 40 after pouring the molten metal into the cavity in a mold 10 through runners 13a, 13b, 13c, exothermic bodies 16 starting heat generation by the heat of the molten metal, are embedded into the side walls of the runners 13a, 13b, 13c in the mold 10. By this method, when the suction can be stopped because the molten metal is not flowed out caused by the solidification of the molten metal at the gate parts 14a, 14b, the molten metal in the runners 13a, 13c is not still solidified and the unnecessary metal can be returned back to a melting furnace.
