Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting machine capable of stabilizing a casting speed irrespective of the ability or experience of an operator who operates the casting machine.SOLUTION: Provided is a casting machine 1 comprising molten-metal supply means 10 supplying molten metal discharged from a refining furnace F to a plurality of casting molds 4. The molten-metal supply means 10 includes a weighing tub 13; a storage tub 12; and a molten-metal-volume estimation unit 21. The storage tub 12 is provided to be able to have a tilt attitude for supplying the stored molten metal to the weighing tub 13, and a holding attitude for storing and holding the molten metal. The molten-metal-volume estimation unit includes an attitude detection unit 23; a weight measuring unit 22; and an arithmetic unit 24. The arithmetic unit 24 estimates volume of the molten metal supplied to the storage tub 12 on the basis of a weight W1 of the storage tub 12 at timing at which the storage tub 12 changes from the tilt attitude to the holding attitude, and a weight W2 of the storage tub 12 at timing at which the storage tub 12 starts moving to change the attitude from the holding attitude to the tilt attitude.
