PURPOSE: To make the removal of a holder after casting easy and to enable correction with good accuracy by combining plural pocket forming molds having projecting parts in a cylindrical direction in forming a casting mold and providing recessed parts for finishing allowances to the projecting parts.

CONSTITUTION: Each pocket forming mold 1 has a projecting part 11 for forming the shape and size of a pocket and a recessed part 12 for forming a slight finishing allowance on the inside circumferential surface of the pocket of a solid type holder for a cylindrical roller bearing is provided to each projecting part in a casting mold for said holder. The holder formed with such casting mold is easily removable if the molds 1 are disassembled and since there are slight finishing allowances, the errors produced by casting are correctable with good accuracy by machining.
