Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the dissolution of argon gas in an argon gas seal into molten steel and the absorption of hydrogen at the time of casting.
CONSTITUTION: In a bottom pouring casting method, a suction pipe 5 closing one end fixed by sand 4 and having plural small holes 6 for suction is arranged in between a pouring tube 2 and a pouring tube bricks 3. The other end of this suction pipe 5 is connected with a vacuum pump and the casting is executed while sucking and reducing the pressure.
