Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a DHCR operational ratio effectively utilizing the sensible heat in a cast slab.
SOLUTION: In a method for charging the cast slab obtd. by a continuous casting equipment, directly into a heating furnace while synchronizing a steelmaking process and a hot-rolling process by directly connecting the intervals among plural continuous casting equipment 11A, 11B and heating furnaces 14A-14D and a hot-rolling equipment 15 having a hot-rolling mill by the directly conveying equipment fort the cast slab, the rolling is executed while regulating to the equations, Tc=ΣTci, Tci=Lsi/Vci, Tr=ΣTri, Tro=1/C/W and Tc=Tr. In these equations, Tc is the casting time of one tundish in the continuous casting equipment, Tci is the casting time in each cast slab, Lsi is the length of each cast slab, Vci is the casting speed of each case slab, Ti is the rolling time in one rolling cycle in the hot rolling mill, Tri is the rolling time in each cast slab, C is the rolling efficiency in each cast slab shown with mass unit per unit time and W is the mass in each case slab.
