Abstract:
To produce a large amount of Thermoascus aurantiacus catalase having excellent properties represented by high heat-resistance and pH resistance and free from productivity problems inherent to conventional catalase.
The thermoascus aurantiacus catalase is produced by carrying out the cloning of a catalase gene separated from a genom DNA of Thermoascus aurantiacus, the cloning of a cDNA produced by using the mRNA separated from the cultured microbial cell as a base and the determination of the base sequence using a genetic engineering technique and producing the catalase with a transformant obtained by transducing the gene.
