Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily obtain an oligosaccharide having complicated structure and useful for the researches on sugar chain information and biological function or as pharmaceuticals, etc., by site-selectively hydrolyzing and deprotecting a protected hydroxyl group of a sugar ester derivative using a catalyst antibody as a hydrolysis catalyst.

CONSTITUTION: An oligosaccharide having complicated structure and useful for the researches on sugar chain information and biological function, the development of new oligosaccharide medicines, etc., is easily synthesized by site-specifically hydrolyzing and deprotecting the protected hydroxyl group of a sugar ester derivative such as a monosaccharide compound expressed by the formula I (R1 is H, OH, F, OCH3, monosaccharide or oligosaccharide chain or group of the formula II; R2 is H, CH3 or monosaccharide or oligosaccharide chain), etc., or an oligosaccharide compound having the monosaccharide compound residue on non-reduced terminal using a hydrolyzing enzyme consisting of an antibody prepared by using a compound of the formula III (Me is methyl) as a hapten, bonding the hapten to a carrier protein such as keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH) to obtain an antigen and immunizing an animal with the antigen.
