Title:
CATALYST FOR CHEMICAL REACTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07185341
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the releasing of the catalystic active component and the generation of chipping or damage by forming from a metal itself having catalystic activity to unnecessitate strict consideration about the adaptability between a base material and a catalystic active component.

CONSTITUTION: The catalyst is formed from the metal 1 itself having catalystic activity such as nickel, chromium, copper, cobalt, molybdenum, iron zinc, tin. As a result, it is unnecessary to select a material for the base material or a material for a ceramic coating layer. And since the metal having large mechanical strength is used, chipping or damage is prevented. And the catalyst, being formed only from the metallic material, is easily formed into an arbitrary shape corresponding to the kind of reaction or structure of a reactor.
