Abstract:
To provide a metallocene compund that is useful as a component for olefin polymerization catalysts, stable to air and water and easy to handle, liberates no hydrogen halide with high storage stability and has high catalyst activity.
The objective components for olefin polymerization catalyst comprises transition metal compounds represented by the following formula [1] or formula [2]: (RaCp)m(R'bCp)nM(-X-Ph-Yc)4-(m+n)...[1] R"(RdCp)(R'eCp)M(-X- Ph-Yc)2...[2] (wherein M is Zr or Hf; (RaCp), (R'bCp) and (RdCp) are each a group bearing a cyclopentadienyl skeleton; R" is a group bridging (RdCp) and (R'eCp); (-X-Ph-Yc) represents a group in which an aromatic group Ph substituted with a substituent Y bonds via X of an oxygen or sulfur atom to M).
