Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a catalyst for hydrogenation treatment of hydrocarbon oils having high hydrogenation activity to aromatic compounds, a high sulfur- resisting property, and high desulfurization performance, and to produce a light-oil-blend base with a low sulfur content and a low aromatic content by conducting contact reaction of light oil including aromatic compounds by using the catalyst.
SOLUTION: The catalyst includes 0.1-10 mass % of platinum, 0.1-20 mass % of palladium and 0.05-1.2 mass % of a halogen as the basis for a catalyst and in terms of an element on carriers comprising alumina or inorganic oxides consisting essentially of alumina. An amount of acid measured by the ammonia- TPD method is preferably 0.4-3mmol/g. The catalyst is used for conducting contact reaction of a light oil fraction including aromatic compounds at a hydrogen partial pressure of 3-8MPa, at a temperature of 200-370°C and at a liquid space velocity of 0.3-5hr-1, and the light oil is hydrogenation-treated.
