Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst which can give a highly stereo-regular polymer of a 3 C or higher olefin (which is highly stereoregular even when it has an MFR of 50 or above) in high catalytic activity.

CONSTITUTION: This catalyst comprises a solid component of a Ziegler catalyst essentially consisting of Ti, Mg and halogens, an organoaluminum compound and a silicon compound represented by the formula (wherein R1 is a branched aliphatic hydrocarbon group or an alicyclic hydrocarbon group; and R2 to R5 are each a hydrocarbon group which is the same as or different from R1).
