Abstract:

To enable uniformly and rapidly packing catalysts when uniformly packing the catalysts into a space part formed of a reactor and pipes by passing the catalysts through a flexible tube and feeding them along the inside of the reactor while keeping the fall distance of the catalysts within a fixed range.

When packing catalysts 5 into a space part 4, the catalysts 5 are fed to a flexible tube 6 through a catalyst introducing part 9. At this time, the catalysts 5 have velocity at which they pass through the flexible tube 6 restrained by brushes 8 attached to a jig 7 to lead the catalysts to the head of the flexible tube 6. And the catalysts 5 fall in the flexible tube 6 in straight lines, in spirals, or irregularly depending on the shape of the brushes 8, but even if any shape is selected, impact onto the catalysts 5 is absorbed by the brushes 8. The catalysts 8 fed from a wall part of the reactor kept within a fixed distance range from the bottom part of the reactor are being filled into the space part 4 toward a pipe 3 while keeping an angle of repose.
