PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst for changing to corresponding cyanopyridines by reacting methylpyridine with ammonia and oxygen.
SOLUTION: The catalyst is represented by formula SbaVbTicX1dX2eOf, and has 5-50 m2/g BET-surface area, 0.11 ml/g total pore volume and 1-15.10-8 m mean pore radius. By the catalyst, a high conversion, high selectivity and high space time yield are simultaneously attained.
