Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for removing an organic halogen compound having an excellent removal performance of the organic halogen compound and a less activity deterioration by a poisoning component such as SOx and arsenic and a processing method of an exhaust gas using this.
SOLUTION: The removal catalyst for the organic halogen compound contains at least one kind of metal oxide selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide and a combined oxide of titanium and silicon as a catalyst component A; an oxide of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of vanadium, niobium, tantalum, molybdenum and tungsten as a catalyst component B; and an oxide and/or a sulfate of at least one metal selected from an alkali earth metal as catalyst component C.
