Abstract:

To obtain a catalyst for synthesizing porphyrin, having a high yield of porphyrin, repeatedly usable.

This catalyst for synthesizing porphyrin comprises a porous body having a great number of pores. The pores have pore diameters showing the maximum peak in the pore diameter distribution curve in the region of 1-10nm and ≥60% of the pores have diameters in the region of the pore diameter showing the maximum peak in the pore diameter distribution curve ±40%. The porous body is an Si oxide and prefetably consists of a crystalline three- dimensional structure. Aluminum is preferably introduced into the porous body.
