Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a catalytic component capable of producing an olefin polymer in high efficiency having a high molecular weight, a relatively wide molecular weight distribution and, in the case of a copolymer, a narrow composition distribution.
CONSTITUTION: This catalytic component can be produced by bringing (1) an inorganic carrier and/or a granular polymer carrier, (2) a compound of formula Me1R1nX14-n [R1 is a hydrocarbon residue. X1 is a halogen atom. Me1 exhibits Zr, Ti or Hf and n satisfies 0≤n≤4], (3) a compound of formula Me2R2mX22-m [R2 is a hydrocarbon residue. X2 is a halogen atom. Me2 is an element belonging to I to III group in the periodic table. Z shows the valence number of Me2 and m satisfies 0≤m≤Z], (4) an organic cyclic compound having two or more conjugated double bonds and (5) a modified organoaluminum compound containing Al-O-Al bond and having one or more branched chain alkyl groups bonded to Al atom into contact with each other.
