Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remarkably improve the efficiency of a catalytic conversion process of an organic compound including the step to contact a catalyst with steam by using an MFI-type zeolite having specific composition and property as the catalyst.

CONSTITUTION: In the catalytic conversion of an organic compound including a step to contact the catalyst with steam at a high temperature in the reaction or regeneration of the catalyst, etc., the lowering of the activity and functions of the catalyst caused by the contact of the catalyst with steam can be suppressed by using a catalyst containing an MFI-type zeolite having an SiO2/ Al2O3 ratio of 20-80 (preferably 25-75) and an ISiOH/IH+ ratio of 0-0.5 (preferably 0-0.4) (ISiOH) and IH+ are intensity of 1H-NMR assigned to SiOH and acidic OH of the zeolite converted to H-type by ion-exchange). The catalyst is suitable for the catalytic decomposition, aromatization, disproportionation, alkylation, polymerization and isomerization processes for organic compound necessitating the regeneration of the catalyst in each reaction period of ≤150hr, especially for the process to obtain aromatic hydrocarbons from hydrocarbons containing 2-10C paraffin, olefin or diene compounds.
