Abstract:
To improve exhaust emission purifying performance by avoiding an opening phenomenon of a core.
This converter is so constituted that a catalyst support 5 consisting of a corrugated metal sheet is superposed on each other, and a honeycomb core 3 made up of a cell is formed in an overlap, and this core 3 is installed in an outer cylinder 2. In this case, a ring body 6 with plurality of comb teeth parts in the circumferential direction of an end face is fitted tight in this outer cylinder 2 at least at an inlet side of the core 3, and then these comb teeth parts are made to be inserted into the peripheral side of an end at the inlet side of the core 3.
