PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a catalytic synthesis technique for 2-fluoromethyl epoxide compounds by a strong carbon-fluorine bond cleavage reaction.SOLUTION: The inventors have developed a catalytic producing method for 2-fluoromethyl epoxide compounds by using a reaction of activating and cleaving a strong carbon-fluorine bond with a silicon reagent that strongly interacts with a catalytic amount of base and fluorine as the key reaction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
