To provide a catheter with an articulated system.
The articulated system for the selective layout of the catheter operation and the far tip part of the catheter contains an articulated segment which has a cylindrical wall mounted between a tip member and a catheter tube. The cylindrical wall defines the long axis and surrounds the center lumen. The first section made of the first material with the bending flexural modulus M1 and the second section made of the second material with the bending flexural modulus M2 are formed on the wall of the articulated segment. The M2 is larger than the M1 (M2>M1). One end part of a control wire is mounted on the tip member and the control wire itself stretches through the lumen and the catheter tube of the articulated segment from the tip member. The sections are so arranged as to deflect the tip member within a previously selected plane responding to the axial movement of the control wire.
