Abstract:
The present invention provides a graphite-containing carbonaceous material that satisfies the conditions that (a) the amount of desorbed sulfur oxide gas of the carbonaceous material up to 500°C as assessed by temperature programmed desorption mass spectrometry (TPD-MS) is 0.39 μmol/g or less, and (b) the pH of a liquid dispersion obtained when 5 parts by mass of the carbonaceous material is dispersed as a suspension in 30 parts by mass of distilled water is 9 or less.
