Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode side gasket for an electrolyzer excellent in dimensional stability even if the gasket used for closely contacting an ion change membrane with a cathode chamber frame absorbs moisture or is dried, in electrolysis using a filter press type electrolyzer using an alkali metal chloride water solution such as saline solutions by an ion exchange membrane method.SOLUTION: A cathode side gasket 1 for an electrolyzer has an opening part 10 formed at the approximate center, and also has a reinforced core material including polyethylene terephthalate inside the electrolyzer cathode side gasket.
