To provide a CDM signal reception terminal and its reception method by which excellent audio and image data of a broadcast program can continuously be received from a digital broadcast using a CDM signal.
At application of power, a path search section 23 detects path reception timing of a CDM signal to take synchronization with the CDM signal. A unique word detection section 22 detects a unique code included in a pilot channel of the CDM signal on the basis of the path reception timing so as to discriminate whether or not synchronization with the CDM signal is taken. In the case that the time not synchronously with the CDM signal exceeds a prescribed time, the synchronization means above is again controlled to take synchronization with the CDM signal.
