This ceiling fan 1 is composed mainly of a ceiling fan body 10 including a driving part 30; a luminaire 50 mounted on the lower side of the ceiling fan body 10; and a blade part 70 provided on the ceiling fan body 10. The luminaire 50 is provided with an annular fluorescent lamp 55 having a tube diameter of 20mm or less, and has a smaller dimension in the direction of height than the ceiling fan body 10. The blade part 70 includes two or more blades 72 rotated by the drive of the driving part 30. The blades 72 are located above the luminaire 50 at a predetermined space from the ceiling C, and a gap is formed between the root part 72a of the blade 72 and the luminaire 50.
