Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a new polypeptide to be bound to a monoclonal antibody to give a new integrin glycopeptide complex controlled by a cell-cell interaction and useful for regulating imunoresponse such as inflammation.

CONSTITUTION: This cell adhesion molecule is a purified polypeptide comprising a gp98 fragment having an amino acid sequence comprising gp98 and at least 5 adjoining amino acids in the amino acid sequence of gp98. The polypeptide is preferably produced by integrating a DNA expressing the above polypeptide constructed from a cDNA library separated material coding gp98 into a vector, transforming a host cell with said vector and allowing the transformant to produce the polypeptide.
