To peel cells bonded to a vessel surface by simple operation.
A cell peeling agent comprises an aminated polyrotaxane. The polyrotaxane forming the skeleton of the cell peeling agent has a structure in which bulky caps so as not to remove cyclic molecules are bound to both ends of a linear molecule in a state wherein the linear molecule is passed through the plurality of the cyclic molecules. The aminated polyrotaxane contained in the cell peeling agent is a compound in which at least a part of hydroxy groups in the cyclodextrin skeleton contained in the polyrotaxane are substituted with substituents having an amino group. The cultured cells bonded to the vessel surface can be peeled with the cell peeling agent without damaging the cells and without controlling the temperature.
