The cell phone unit 10 comprises: a GPS reception part 58 for receiving GPS data from a GPS satellite; a control part 36 for calculating the current position information on the basis of the GPS data received in the GPS reception part 58; a GPS transmission part 58 for transmitting the current position information to the external communication equipment; and the power source parts 60 and 62 which can be turned on/off, for supplying power to the GPS reception part 58, the control part 36, and the GPS transmission part 58. The power source parts 60 and 62 which are turned off continuously supply the power to the GPS reception part 58, the control part 36 and the GPS transmission part 58, and the current position information can be transmitted to the communication equipment by the control part 36.
