Abstract:
To provide a cell traction energy measurement system that can accurately measure mechanical action of a cell on a surrounding environment as work (cell traction energy) using a simple method.SOLUTION: A cell traction energy measurement system 100 includes: a container 10; a culture medium 20 present in the container; a hydrophobic liquid 30 is in contact with the culture medium to form an interface IF in the container; a membrane 40 containing an amphipathic compound formed at the interface; and a detector 50 configured to detect the amount of deformation of the interface caused by adhesion of a cell.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
