To provide a cellulose acetate film excellent in tear strength, flexural strength and optical characteristics and having good long-term shelf stability, and an optical film, a liquid crystal display and a silver halide photographic material made by using the cellulose acetate film.
This cellulose acylate film is prepared by a series of steps involving: a step of casting a cellulose acylate composition containing (i) a cellulose acylate, (ii) a reactive calixarene derivative (K) of which at least one of the phenolic hydroxy groups is substituted by a substituent having a terminal polymerizable group, (iii) a polymerizable monomer (A) copolymerizable with the reactive calixarene derivative (K), and (iv) a photopolymerization initiator (L); and a step of irradiation with light. The optical film, liquid crystal display, and silver halide photographic material are made by using the cellulose acylate film.
